Steven Kirik

Steve KirikSteve is an Airline Transport Pilot with over 11,500 hours of flight time. Steve is a former U.S. Air Force Fighter Pilot and flew the F-15C Eagle, while stationed at Langley AFB, VA. He has logged over 1000 hours in the F-15C, which includes 240 hours of combat time flown in 43 combat missions in Operation Desert Storm. Steve has flown numerous combat support missions in Operations Desert Shield and Southern Watch. He then went on to be an Instructor Pilot and Pilot Examiner in the T-38 Talon as part of Euro-NATO Pilot training program at Sheppard AFB, TX. In 1996 he separated from the military and is currently employed by a major airline as a Boeing 767 and 757 First Officer.

Steve is a Certified Flight Instructor and Ground Instructor with Advanced and Instrument ratings. He enjoys training pilots in the L-39 and serves the FAA as a FAA Designated Pilot Examiner in the L-39, T-38, F-5 and F-86 aircraft. Steve holds Authorizations to fly the; L-39, T-37, T-38, F-5, F-86, T-2 Buckeye and soon the A-4 Skyhawk. He is a Formation Checkpilot for North American Trainer Association and Redstar Pilots Association. Steve holds a low level aerobatic card Level III (500 ft). Steve serves as a Demonstration Pilot and Safety Officer for the Warbird Heritage Foundation in Waukegan, IL.

He is married and has three daughters.

It is truly an honor and privilege to participate in the Legacy Flight program, promoting the rich history of Naval Aviation and displaying the power of current Naval Aviation to the next generation of Naval Aviators.

Later this year the Warbird Heritage Foundation A-4B Skyhawk will be participating in the Legacy Flight Program.
