U.S.N. Flight Surgeon, flight training through solo at NAS Pensacola, in T-28 (1971), NATC Flight Surgeon NAS Patuxent River, 1971 – 1973. Retired as Lt. Commander to return to civilian medical training and practice.

Senior FAA Aviation Medical Examiner,

Written aviation articles, including aviation safety articles, for EAA Warbirds magazine.

Presentation to both Flying Physicians Assoc., and FAA Family Fly-in on HU-16 Albatross trip to Perth, Australia and return. Performed all flight planning for two month, trans-Pacific trip, and flew 50% of 170 hr. trip.

Fly our FJ-4B “Fury”, the last one in the world in flying condition, with the U.S.N. Legacy Flight, with F/A-18’s from VFA-122 and VFA-125. Participated in formation flight certification at NAS Lemoore, March 2004.

Formation qualified as Wingman (1992) and Leader (1994), and annually thereafter, by the North American Trainer Association.

Have flown in EAA Airventure Oshkosh airshows every year since 1992, in the T-28, T-2, L-39 and FJ-4B.
